Music Music Music

Nostairway is on a mission to get more original music out there.

For this reason we have one important message:

Documentary makers, you won't win any awards using library music.

Vocal tips competition

We've been running a competition. Send in you tips to improve your vocals, singing or spoken, and one of you will win an hour in the NSM booth

Here's a great one from Harriet Thomas

Everything, including singing, starts with a thought. Before you sing a note, think! Imagine the note travelling through your body from your guts to your mouth, imagine how that note is going to sound before you sing it. If there's a singer you want to emulate, be that person in your head.

Thanks Harriet

Voice over month

It's voice over month at NSM.

Here's a helpful tip for voice over artists:

When you need to add a little sparkle to a voice over, even if you can't be seen,  try smiling.

It makes all the difference, honest.

Are you looking to record a voice over?

Tip for the week:

Viewers will not tell you that the standard of your narration isn't good enough. they will simply look elsewhere. They probably don't even know that the voice over was done on the cheap, they just wont watch again next week.

Video is all around us. Quality is what will make yours stand out from the crowd and that means sound as well as fancy graphics and a CGI

Well, the sun is out (just) and that means starting that music project you've been planning all winter. NSM has produced over 50 albums and countless songs for literally 100s of happy clients.

The most important aspect aspect to consider when booking a recording studio is whether you feel comfortable with their approach to your project. That's why we offer a 30 minute chat over a coffee where you can view the studio and get your questions answered with absolutely no obligation. In other words, we'd rather you went to a studio you're comfortable with than feel uncomfortable using ours.
Check out http://www.nostairway.com/music.html then drop us a line via the contact page.
You have nothing to lose coming over for a chat and the coffee isn't bad either.
